How do I change my Ignition Switch on my car?

96 Ford Mustang. I know how to change the switch, my question is acually does it have a Pin in it that I will need to take out? Or anything else. How do I change my Ignition Switch on my car?
Assuming you are referring to the ignition lock cylinder, turn the ignition to the RUN (or %26quot;on%26quot;) position, depress the lock pin underneath by inserting a nail or straight pick through the access hole on the lower half of the steering column shroud. With the lock pin depressed, pull the lock cylinder OUTWARD. Hope this helps. How do I change my Ignition Switch on my car?
there is a pin below the switch,

you push in with a nail or something.

it allows you to turn the switch further counterclockwise than normal, after that just pull the switch outHow do I change my Ignition Switch on my car?
There is usually a pin that keeps the lock cylinder from turning. I have had to drill them out with a carbide drill bit. Whatever they make those pins out of sure dulls even the most expensive of drill bits. If a person takes the column apart and has the right tools to put them back together they are a lot better off but it will take longer. With the column apart the pin from the lock cylinder is easy to get at and doesn't have to be drilled. It's up to you. Good Luck! How do I change my Ignition Switch on my car?
exactly what rakel saidHow do I change my Ignition Switch on my car?
As Rakel said... turn to on position, push with a small 0 I think it is phillips screwdriver (It's a pocket phillips I use) thru the hole with no screw in it till you hit the indention, push up and pull on switch.. If you can't turn the switch you will have to drill it out and that's not fun
