In help in the next 1/2 hour if anyone is out there.?

I have a 1988 pontiac 6000 and need to change the ignition switch. I have an important dinner to attend with a grade school friend who will be moving out of state. My dad is buying the switch but does not know how to change it out. Can someone please give me step by step instructions? In help in the next 1/2 hour if anyone is out there.?
Disconnect the battery.

there should be two screws on the housing behind the steering wheel. remove those two screws. The lock cylinder should be held by a few mounting screws. Remove those. Do not move the steering wheel in this process. Behind the lock cylinder, you should find the ignition switch. Remove the old switch, replace with the new one, and reinstall the lock cylinder. Put the housing back into place, and you are done.In help in the next 1/2 hour if anyone is out there.?
