I am having issues with my steering column it is either my ignition switch or a bar that is broken in it. Should I have a friend who knows what he is doing do it. Or take it to a repair shop. Is it easy to mess something up more if I don't take it to a repair shop?How hard would it be to change my own ignition switch in a 91 Ford Econoline Van?
I changed several as a kid with cars in the 70's...it's not rocket science...if you are handy (or he is) and knows how to sodder it's not a big deal.
